Youth Development Program:

In February 2009, Phillips County Economic Development hosted a youth leadership event for both middle school and high school districts within Phillips County.  Monte Selbe, a well know singer, songwriter and speaker presented a program for the students which focused on community leadership, making a difference, and volunteerism.  Working collaboratively with the Morgan Foundation, and each school district (Logan, Northern Valley, Phillipsburg, and Thunder Ridge) to finance the event, Phillips County Economic Development utilized this time to gather information and ideas from the students.  This simple survey allowed the youth to share their ideas as to directions for Phillips County, but also what they envisioned for their future.
