5000 Square Foot Pharmarcy under construction in Phillipsburg

On Monday March 9th, Rob and Stacie Wenzl, owners of Wenzl Drug, announced that construction of a 5000 square foot pharmacy that will take up around half the block on the southside of the square in Phillipsburg and include a drive thru window, is scheduled to get underway on the site this spring, with a grand opening scheduled for this fall.  A considerable portion of the new store will be dedicated to significantly increasing access to durable medical equipment services and products.  Wenzl Drug has recently completed the accrediation process required of providers of the DME (which includes items such as diabetic footwear and supplies, walkers, crutches, wheelchairs, scooters, nebulizers, hospital beds, etc.)

Says Rob Wenzl, “By completing the required accrediation process and expanding our DME services, we will be able to provide the residents of Phillipsburg and surrounding communities with the medical equipment they need without the hassle and expense of having to commute to a larger city in order to have access to these products.  We are committed to serving the residents of Phillips County.”

Stacie Wenzl  notes the key role the local economic development establishment played in brining the project about.  “The Phillips County Community Foundation and the Phillips County Economic Development boards have been extremely helpful in assisting us with this project, which would not be possible without them.  We are blessed to live in a community with so many wonderful people and economic development tools at hand.”
